This paper will attempt to present the purposes and increasing length of annual report and its implications (Stittle, 2003, p.143). Purposes and Importance of Annual Report Annual report is primarily associated the disclosure of the financial report of a corporate which is important for the users like prospective investor, real shareholders and creditor for making economical decisions. Financial information is exceedingly required as it shows the financia l health of the organisation like financial risk, stability, volatility, assets, liabilities etc (Valencia College, n.d.). However, merely disclosing the financial information does not serve the purposes for protecting shareholders interest by offering sufficient level of transparency. ... The annual report also discloses other necessary information which is highly required for ensuring the biased free information. For example, the company also discloses accounting policies, footnotes which act as empirical studies for the stakeholders. Form the companies perspective, annual reports are also used for marketplace signalling by disclosing a number of voluntary news and recent developments. Moreover, the annual reports are prepared in the simplest way so that a person with basic knowledge of economics is able to understand the internal information and activities. The companies are obligated to ensure that each of its stakeholders is able to access the annual reports and hence, publicl y listed companies are responsible for publishing its annual reports through corporate websites, economic journals and news papers, and subscriptions (Vause, 2009, p.9). Increasing Length of Annual Report and its Implications To make the annual reports more applicable with enhanced disclosure has become a challenge for both the regulators and firms. On one hand, regulatory authorities require that the companies annual reports must be tacit by ordinary shareholders and investors on the other hand, they are required to include complete and transparent disclosures. The recent financial crisis of 2007-2010 has marked the importance of financial disclosures. The foreign and independent organisations like FRC, OECD, IASB and FASB require wide ranges of information as mandatory disclosure. The IFRS and US GAAP are two major financial reporting frameworks that inspire upon the accounting standards and disclosures in the annual report. Their requirements of disclosure have been constantly increased for better transparency and monitoring the activity of the

It also depicts sounds heard in cars and other automobiles, telephones, and airplanes (Martin and Waters 108). It also suggests a pleasing and rested mood because of the seemingly caricature accompaniment which is a perfect background to slapsticks and pathos visual shows. Eubie Blake was particularly famous for being a pianist and composer during early, middle, and novel 1900s and took the stride ragtime to a new level (Martin and Waters 109). Most importantly, James P. Johnson fathered stride piano by being so absorbed in his craft through composing jazz pieces for Broadway musicals and concerts and keeping on learning and experimenting for the said genre (Martin and Waters 109). Feminism and Kate Chopin's The Storm Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Feminism and Kate Chopins The Storm - Essay ExampleLouis, Missouri, all of whom were women of determination and intellect. This probably pointed her towards the path of feminism. Chopin lived and wrote her impressive repertoire of piffling stories in the second half of the nineteenth century, when the still patriarchal society revolved around the firmly rooted tenet that the ultimate goal of a fulfilled womans life was to be the ideal wife and mother and to adhere to the glorified virtues of submission and sacrifice. The feminist movement was very untold in its nascent stages and centered round the demand for equal rights for women in the legal, political and educational spheres. Even before these issues could be resolved, Chopins stories delved into the complex locomote of a womans life, including love, marriage, sex, womens alcoholism, motherhood and autonomy. She was a pioneer in her knowledge time, in her portrayal of womens desires for independence and control of their own sexuality (Emily Toth, cited in Kate Chopin, n.d.). In this portrayal of a womans extramarital affair, beautifully orchestrated to equal the cadences of the storm raging outside, Chopin boldly asserts a womans freedom to explore and delight in her own sexuality, to participate in the sexual strike as an equal partner and to fearlessly adhere to the same standards of sexual morality as a man.The Storm begins its depiction of its protagonist, Calixta, as a woman who conforms to the mother and wife stereotype of that period. Her life, confined within the four walls of her house, is apparently quite satisfactorily filled with domestic chores like sewing and the laundry. She

Cell phones should unquestionably be allowed to stay on in class.Students hold the right to keep their cellular phones on for the entire period of class time. The students are full-blown enough to uphold their rights as human beings. You take our cell phone liberties forth, what other freedoms will s trip from us? As American citizens we must go on together and protest for our cell phone rights. It is our right and sovereignty to have our cell phones on in class. It is extremely wrong that our school and district requests that we the students be mature adults, although they will not permit us to make the decision if we should be on our cell phones or not. I recognize that numerous students are not grown-up enough to attain having the right to use or cell phones in class. However, that is why we include consequences. There is no equality in confiscating the rights away from those who can handle being a responsible adult because of the few who cannot. The majority of the students can identify when it is an acceptable time to utilize their mobile phones. plant life Cited1. http//findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3617/is_200402/ai_n9408441
